Summer is nearly here! And that means warm weather, longer sunny days, and plenty of opportunities to eat outdoors for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

There’s no shortage of good food to find in Troy, NY. We’ve put together some ideas for how Stoneledge Terrace Residents can enjoy good food and drinks this summer. Let us know if we missed your favorite!

Nearby Favorites

These Troy restaurants don’t celebrate the outdoors so much, but they’re certainly well worth a trip out for some great Italian cuisine. Visit Verdile’s at 572 2nd Avenue and Testo’s at 853 4th Avenue for some terrific Italian meals, complete with homemade sauces, family recipes and selections for every guest you bring.

Of course, no summer night out to Verdile’s or Testo’s is complete without some dessert outdoors. That’s why we swing by The Snowman at 531 5th Avenue in Troy. You’ll almost always find long (yet quickly-moving!) lines of individuals and families looking for ice cream cones, milkshakes, hand-packed pints and more!

Music Uptown

Just north of Stoneledge Terrace, you’ll find Smitty’s Rustic Barn Pub at 150 Speigeltown Road. Find good food and even better music at this lively entertainment venue. In the summer, enjoy drinks out on the deck!

Dining Options Downtown

Of course, there are plenty of places to eat in Downtown Troy, all within walking distance of Monument Square. We’ve listed just a couple of our favorite places to eat when dining outdoors downtown:

Finnbar’s Irish Pub: Filling Irish pub food with a great drink selection, with a great porch to sit outside and enjoy!

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que: Ribs. Pulled Pork. Chicken. Fried Green Tomatoes. What else can we say, we love it – and there’s tons of seating outdoors for guests looking to sit with a view of the Hudson River.

Ryan’s Wake: Grab appetizers, meals and drinks at this great Irish pub downtown with views of the Hudson River on its porch.

Brown’s Brewing Company’s Troy Tap Room: Enjoy food, drinks and live music at this popular spot for evenings out on the town.

Lucas Confectionery: Looking for beer, wine, and a great selection of high-quality charcuterie? This beautiful and popular wine bar offers a wide variety of beverage selections. Stay for coffee and desserts, as well!

Carmen’s Café: Need a spot for Sunday brunch? Grab some terrific Cuban-Spanish-American breakfast and lunch cuisine, and don’t forget that sangria! Tables are available outside on sunny days in this popular neighborhood spot just south of Washington Park.

Ilium Café: Enjoy brunch, right near the bustling Farmer’s ! Ilium Café has a number of unique and delicious dishes for whatever your mood desires, from omelets and pancakes to sandwiches, salads and more. Get there early to catch the daily specials!

Bacchus Wood-Fired Pizza: This is your spot for pizza and beer or wine during an evening outdoors, especially if you’re about to catch a performance at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall located just across the street. We suggest you try the shrimp artichoke dip!

These are just a few of our local favorites, but there are dozens of great places to eat in Troy! Find more on TripAdvisor, and enjoy this summer!
